“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
The Athanasian Creed: The Holy Trinity Defended
Today on From the Housetops, Brother Matthew reflects on the Blessed Trinity and the importance of understanding and defending the Catholic faith. Reviewing various attacks on the doctrine of the Trinity, including Arianism, Macedonianism, Unitarianism, Gnosticism, and other forms of disbelief, he turns to the Athanasian Creed as a clear profession of faith in one God in three Divine Persons and in the divinity of Jesus Christ.
The broadcast also introduces the Golden Arrow Prayer as an act of reparation for blasphemy, followed by a reflection from Abbot Dom Guéranger on the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a prayer from The Imitation of Christ. Brother Matthew also honors Pope St. Pius X, highlighting his defense of the Catholic faith, his promotion of frequent Holy Communion and early Communion for children, and his courage in confronting attacks within the Church. Listen to this episode for a reflection on the mystery of the Holy Trinity, devotion to Our Lady, and the example of St. Pius X.
