“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
Truth Does Not Change
Today on From the Housetops, Brother Matthew reflects on the decline of faith and morality in our time, beginning with St. Paul’s warning in his Epistle to the Romans about those who reject the truth and fall deeper into error through pride and willful blindness. He examines relativism and its rejection of objective truth, divine revelation, and the Church’s teaching authority, before turning to the 2019 Declaration of Truths, signed by Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, Cardinal Jánis Pujats, Archbishop Tomas Peta, Archbishop Jan Pawel Lenga, and Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider. The declaration addresses 40 common errors concerning the foundations of the faith, the Creed, the law of God, and the sacraments.
Among the teachings highlighted are the unchanging nature of Catholic doctrine, salvation through faith in Christ, the uniqueness of the Catholic Church, the existence of hell, the true meaning of ecumenism, the commandments of God, the sanctity of human life, marriage, the morality of human sexuality, the reality of Christ’s presence in the Eucharist, and the sacrificial nature of the Holy Mass. Listen to this episode for a clear reflection on Catholic truth, doctrine, and the need to defend the faith in our time.
