“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
Consolation in Trials and Suffering
In this broadcast of From the Housetops, Brother Matthew explains the meaning of suffering and how to bear it well. We are encouraged to accept the present moment and to see our trials in light of eternity, where they pass quickly. Suffering, far from being useless, detaches us from the world, expiates sin, and draws us closer to God, making us more like Christ. While worldly pleasures deceive and pass away, the just find in suffering the hope of eternal joy and the peace of a good conscience.
Brother Matthew also presents the teaching of Louis de Montfort on devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through this consecration, Mary forms the soul in purity, humility, and charity, leading it into deeper union with Christ. She works quietly within the soul, making it fruitful in grace and guiding it toward perfection. Join Brother Matthew and discover how embracing the Cross and true devotion brings peace, patience, and perseverance in every trial.
