“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
Lessons from the Garden: The Fall of Adam and Eve
This week on From the Housetops, Brother Matthew reflects on the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Tempted by the serpent, Eve questioned God’s command and allowed doubt to take root. She ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam, who also chose disobedience. In that moment, innocence was lost, sin entered the world, and their bond with God was broken. Shame and fear replaced their once-perfect harmony with Him.
Yet even in judgment, God’s mercy remained. Though divine justice demanded consequences, the promise of redemption was set in motion. This episode explores the weight of their choice, the dangers of pride, and the call to trust in God’s love and faithfulness.
“...and that which you hear in the ear, preach ye from the housetops.” Matthew 10:27
