Partisans of Error: Modernism Revisited

In this opportunity, brother Matthew gives a brief glimpse about modernism with background on the Second Vatican council 1962 to 1965 and the changes following the council. Assurances that the substance of the faith was not going to change became meaningless as doctrines were questioned and the reformed liturgy reflected Protestant theology of liturgy and the Holy Eucharist. Those attached to the faith discovered a wellplanned reorientation to reject what the church had always taught regarding faith, morals, and liturgy, with everything subject to novelty and errors back in full force. This is the essence of revolution and the intense struggle between truth and error affecting the church, the present day.

Michael Davies documented the Protestant attack on the mass and left important publications especially about the sacred liturgy. Modernism is the synthesis of all error, destroying the necessity of the supernatural and making divine revelation meaningless while taking Catholic forms and terms. It leads to agnosticism, evolution, vital imminence, pantheism, symbolic understanding of holy scripture, denial of the miraculous, and an attack on Christian morality. Discover the lives and teachings in this struggle between truth and error.
