“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
The Holy Eucharist: Model of Every Virtue
This week on From the Housetops, Brother Matthew draws from Hamon’s Meditations to deepen our appreciation of the Holy Eucharist following the feast of Corpus Christi. He reflects on the hidden life of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, where Christ continually adores the Father, offers reparation for sin, and intercedes for souls throughout the world. The Eucharist reveals the infinite love of God and invites us to unite our prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship to those of Christ Himself.
Brother Matthew also explains how the Eucharist teaches us our duties toward God, our neighbor, and ourselves. In the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus gives a perfect example of charity, patience, meekness, humility, and self-denial. By contemplating His hidden presence in the tabernacle, we learn to love others more generously, bear difficulties with greater peace, and grow in humility before God. Join Brother Matthew as he explores the lessons of the Eucharist and the transforming power of Christ’s sacramental presence.
