“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19
The Holy Rosary: The Bible on Its Knees
In this broadcast of From the Housetops, Brother Matthew presents a sermon by Father Joseph Briody on true devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the power of the Holy Rosary. Reflecting on Marian processions and the image of Our Lady leading her children in battle against evil, Father Briody explains that no words can fully praise Mary, yet the Church continually seeks to honor her, especially through the Rosary. In this prayer, the faithful contemplate the mysteries of Christ through the eyes of His Mother, drawing closer to the Incarnation, Passion, and Resurrection. The Rosary, with its prayers inspired by heaven itself, places souls within the Immaculate Heart of Mary, where Christ is most perfectly known and loved.
Father Briody also explains that devotion to Mary always leads to deeper union with Christ. Through the Rosary, Our Lady teaches souls to live according to the Heart of God, forming them in charity, holiness, and fidelity to the Gospel. Mary does not allow us to settle for anything less than becoming true images of Jesus Christ, for she alone fully understands the cost of His sacrifice and the power of His Cross. Listen to this episode of From the Housetops and discover how the Rosary, Marian devotion, and imitation of Our Lady lead souls more deeply into the life and love of Christ.
