“Let him who has ears Hear.” Matthew 13:19

Why All the Restrictions on the Traditional Latin Mass?

In this episode, Brother Anthony shares reflections from Brother Thomas Augustine on important questions surrounding the traditional Latin Mass. Brother Thomas addresses why the Latin Mass is being suppressed and why so many Catholics remain devoted to it. Despite restrictions and displacement, a great number of faithful Catholics continue to uphold Church teachings and preserve the sacred liturgy with deep conviction, safeguarding theology handed down since apostolic times.

Brother Anthony also highlights the insights of Father Michael Mueller, C.Ss.R., who defended the use of Latin in the Mass, explaining that its purpose is not public performance but the offering of sacrifice to God. Latin, as a universal and unchanging language, preserves the purity and unity of Catholic worship. Through this episode, listeners are invited to consider the spiritual depth and historical continuity of the Latin Mass, and to reflect on the divine nature of Catholic worship—unshaken by time or opposition.
